Properties
Anti-inflammatory: Schaftoside inhibits the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1β, TNF-α, and IL-6. It also reduces mitochondrial fission and decreases the expression and phosphorylation of Drp1.
Antioxidant: Schaftoside has antioxidant activity in a β-carotene-linoleic acid bleaching assay.
