Nagarmotha root (whole or powdered Cyperus scariosus, also known as Cypriol or Musta) is a traditional aromatic sedge native to India. Its whole roots and extracted essential oils are widely used in Ayurvedic medicine for digestion and inflammation, in cosmetics for scalp and hair health, and in perfumery for its deep, smoky, and woody fragrance.
